TESOL Increase the Teaching Interest of Five Methods

        You need to follow the TESOL course to learn some interesting teaching methods, because teaching English as a foreign language day after day can sometimes feel like you're running on a hamster wheel. Sometimes you feel like you're teaching the same class five times a day, which can make you feel like your job sucks. If you feel frustrated and bored, then you will start to devote less and less to your lessons, your students will absorb your frustrations and become bored themselves.         Do something random

        Think of a game or activity to do something completely unrelated to today's lesson. Tease your classmates about a game they learned in TESOL class, or play a recent video that made you laugh. Don't try to include language focus or learning points. Do something about it, because it's fun.

        Make your students teachers

        Give control of the classroom to your students. TESOL teaches you to assign language points to groups of students and ask them to come up with ways to explain to the class. They can do whatever they want, including playing games or working on worksheets.

        Take a different lesson

        If you're feeling brave, put down the textbook and teach a class with no material. Let the students decide what they want to talk about and let them say it. Language focus naturally comes into the discussion.

        Do something unexpected

        Don't give your students the ability to predict exactly what will happen in class. Mix things up a little so they don't always feel like they're stuck in a rut. If you don't usually use technology, find a cool video to use as the basis for a course, or use an interactive language-learning website or app. If you always use a textbook, find another way to teach a language without practicing grammar. Do something different.

        Play a game

        Play games for a whole class. Give the students a choice of games and let them choose which games they want to play. Set up the games so that they are actual review games. TESOL courses teach you lots of little games that your students may not even notice. By playing the game throughout the class, students feel like they're not in class, but they're actually learning through the game.
