My Development After Graduation from TESOL Courses发表时间:2022-02-02 09:00 Graduate Daniel Ward's love of teaching in Asia inspired him to set up his own TEFL website. Asked us about his adventures to date... Can you tell us what inspired you to take the TESOL course? While studying music at the University of Sussex in the UK, I was weighing up my future options. Travel had always been something I was interested in, so I explored options for getting paid, and world travel and foreign languages seemed a logical choice, so I researched getting certified online, found Global English, and completed it while completing my degree. How did you get your first job and what were your first impressions of TEFL? I worked at City of Westminster College in London for a year before I plucked up the courage to move abroad. In 2014, we had a six-week holiday, so I decided to book a trip to Beijing and backpack through unknown countries. Teaching English in Thailand was a little difficult at first, but I took advantage of it with other teachers and I quickly learned how to be a good teacher. The main thing I noticed was that the TESOL offline course environment was very clean; Mentors and fellow students each will be your friend and support you because you are all in the same boat. What is your next step in English teaching? My foreign language teaching trips have taken me all over the world and I am very happy to live in a lovely coastal city called Busan -- at the bottom of Korea. I will work hard in school and make my own company, technical career, successful. The site started as a censorship site for a foreign language teaching company because I noticed that many Thai companies were taking advantage of teachers, not paying them, overloading them etc. I want to help teachers in the industry and force schools to play fair. I talked to foreign language teachers and found out what they wanted from a website, what advice they needed, and what information was missing online. So, I renamed my website, added lots of articles, videos, and set up a career committee. I hope it will soon gain attention as an industry leader because this information will be very useful to me as I begin my journey of teaching English. What do you hope to achieve in foreign language teaching in the next 2-5 years? I want to become a more skilled teacher and develop as many new skills as possible - I'm currently studying for a masters in Education. I will continue to write about my experiences in foreign language teaching, offer advice, make videos, and generally become an advocate for foreign language teaching, telling everyone to do it.
