        If you aspire to be an inspiring Teacher of English and help your students make great progress, it's nice to know that there are some valuable steps you can take to make the learning experience first-class and you are welcome to try the TESOL course.

        1. Class is ready to begin

        At the beginning, arrange your class tables and chairs as much as possible in a horseshoe shape so that everyone has equal access to the board and teachers. It facilitates communication and means students can't hide behind. Students can still work in groups and groups. For example, in TESOL class, use a warm-up game or pleasant activity to guide students to talk early. This helps to break down the speaking barrier, participate in English learning and relax in class. If you can relate this "warmth" to the course theme, so much the better.

        2. Check that students have mastered the key languages needed to complete the task

        This may mean that you need to teach/update some grammar, or you may need to explain difficult words in the reading text before they read it. Explaining difficult words beforehand will help the reading "flow," prevent them from being distracted by unknown words, and make sure you only need to explain the terms to the individual once, not multiple times.

        3. Give the students enough time to practice English together

        Work in pairs or groups after reading/listening/writing tasks. This ensures that students actively use the language you have taught. Pair or group activities might include theme-based communication games, tasks where they have to agree on something, expressing an opinion, guessing or predicting tasks, songs, role plays, debates or discussions. Whatever you choose, be sure to give students plenty of time for conversation/communication.

        4. Correct your mistakes

When students talk in pairs or groups, you can take notes and proofread them at the end of the activity. Consider writing mistakes on the board and eliciting correct answers from the class. Some teachers always add this slot at the end of class.

        5. Encourage students to use English outside of class

        Give students something meaningful to do between English classes. If possible, ask them to report back on the English tasks you have assigned them next time, or ask them to write a conversation they had in class as reinforcement. There are lots of great English podcasts, YouTube sites that you can use to practice. Some teachers post a weekly question on the software to allow conversations between students to take place online. When they use their new English in "real life" it will really motivate them and do wonders for their progress.
